Chartbuster Karaoke is the United States’ single largest producer of Karaoke. Chartbuster’s owner, Norbert Stovall, was the first to bring Japanese karaoke back the US and begin licensing with the major labels.
LBM embraced Chartbuster Karaoke’s fun atmosphere when we were asked to help rebuild their online presence and create an ‘iTunes for Karaoke’. Considering we are a staff of three and had four months to complete the primary website, we knew had a tight schedule in front of us.
Our first challenge was to decide whether we should build the project from the ground up or start with an existing system to build from. After evaluating the requirements, budget, and time, we decided to build the project based around the Magento eCommerce system. We were able to modify the system in ways that maintained code compliancy that would allow for future upgrades.
