Project Details
SouthernLINC Wireless is a communications company owned by The Southern Company that operates in the Southeast United States. They were honored to introduce the first Android-powered, push-to-talk phone in the United States. We had the opportunity to develop the hero for the micro site, giving users their first look at the new Motorola hardware.
We began with a design concept from Red Clay Interactive and worked from there. We knew SouthernLINC wanted a 3D rotation of the phone, but we only had a couple of low-resolution renders. With a little Photoshop trickery, we pulled off the 3D turns so the phones would seem to look at the phone that the mouse was hovering over at that time. We manipulated the application icons so, when the user would mouse-over one of the handsets, they would come out of the phone and do various movements to showcase apps or app features.
